Video Surveillance Systems

Video surveillance systems (VSS) have had a rapidly increasing influence in a number of spheres of social life. Along with this extensive growth, there has also been an obviously growing demand for “smartness” in such systems, as concerns the level and quality of applied problem automatization. Many VSS vendors currently offer or develop such “smart” solutions with object detection functions, human face detection and recognition, license plate recognition, automatic tracking of selected or potentially interesting objects, suspicious human behavior detection and so on. Nevertheless, the task of solving problems involving computer vision is extremely difficult, which is why obtaining acceptable automatic functioning of these systems can only be achieved for specific, concrete tasks under a restrictive set of assumptions. The lack of universal solutions often leads to the necessity for creating special customized systems or subsystems, each tailored to the conditions of a certain application or task.

YUVsoft has professional-level knowledge and a spectrum of ready-to-use methods, thus allowing us to provide software solutions for many video surveillance tasks and problems. We have extensive experience in automatic calibration of systems of cameras for determination of camera positions using an exterior system of coordinates, in camera control using Messoa D and in Pelco D protocols, in addition to our video segmentation, face detection, moving object detection and panorama construction algorithms, gives us the ability to rapidly develop software modules and video surveillance subsystems, as required by the customer.

We Offer

Basic types of collaboration:

• Development of software modules or subsystems for video surveillance, such as camera system calibration (including calibration for pan-tilt-zoom cameras, or PTZ cameras), human face detection, moving object counting and newly emerged object detection using background modeling
• Licensing of existing algorithms, including provision of source codes and technical support for them
• Custom software implementation of our algorithm to meet the concrete hardware requirements selected by the customer, along with technical support provided to the customer’s specialists during their work on developing VHDL, Verilog or similar register transfer level descriptions
• Optimization of the customer’s existing video compression subsystem to improve quality and/or decrease bitrate (size) of encoded video
